ROME, Italy – The Faema Global Coffee Tour sets off from Rome on a journey across Italy to celebrate coffee culture and lend tangible support to the dining and hospitality sector: this is the latest project by Faema, a long-established brand for Cimbali Group, world leader in the design and production of professional machines for making coffee and milk-based drinks. The star of this international roadshow is a branded Ape Car – the Faema Bee – conceived in collaboration with designer Manuela Bucci.

The Bee will set out from Italy – hence the initiative’s hashtag #beeitalian – and travel on to Europe and the U.S. to present and promote coffee culture through a selection of drinks made using the new Faema President Termosifonica machine, developed in collaboration with the Industrial Division of Italdesign by trainers from the MUMAC Coffee Academy.

The machine, a revisitation of iconic ‘60s models, offers state-of-the-art technology, a unique design and innovative functions to create a special selection of coffee-based drinks, like the “Flat Golden Veggie” created by Latte Art champion Chiara Bergonzi, the “Nutty Mocha” and the “Spiced Iced Latte”, made even more distinctive by Alpro plant-based milks and Monin syrups.

“With this project – says Simona Colombo, Director of Marketing and Communications for Cimbali Group – we want to celebrate coffee culture and bring attention to places where it’s habitually consumed, supporting our partners in a concrete way. The tour begins in Italy, and will continue on in the rest of the world to give a voice to people who love this drink, each in his own way”.

Visitors who come to see the Faema Bee will be immortalized while drinking their favorite beverage, becoming the protagonists of a video on “1001 ways to drink coffee.” Because we’re all different, but with one shared passion: coffee.

The Faema Global Coffee Tour will adopt anti-Covid19 measures

These include the use of FFP2/N95 masks by all staff, the maintenance of a meter’s distance between baristas and customers, hand sanitizing gel available for all visitors, single-use compostable cups, and sanitization and cleaning of machines and equipment.

The tour will hit other Italian cities in the coming weeks, highlighting iconic cafés and locations in each town, and will continue in the rest of the world in 2021.
